I started making bead jewellery in 1985 as a hobby. I am self taught, and
more than 30 years later I am still learning as new techniques develop and more findings become available.
In 1995 I opened the first workshop in a country park near Sheffield where I sold handmade jewellery. So many people asked if I sold beads that I decided to try.
For a while I had the workshop and also a small bead shop at the Forum in Sheffield centre. In 1997 I merged them both and opened a bead and jewellery shop on Ecclesall Road in Sheffiled.
I closed the bricks and mortar shop in 2008, after 11 years there. I now sell the beads, threads and findings online. I find I now have more time to be creative, and am working on developing more designs, and to continually increase the range of stock on the website.
Although I no longer have a "bricks and mortar" shop for you to visit, I attend Bead Fairs around the country regularly, where you can come and see the beads.
