My friend Jenny and I started making bead jewellery in 1985 as a hobby. We sat down at her kitchen table and taught ourselves.
More than 20 years later we are still learning as new techniques develop & more findings become available.

In 1995 we opened our first workshop in a country park near Sheffield where we sold our handmade jewellery. So many people asked us if we sold beads that we decided to try.

For a while we had the workshop and also a small bead shop at the Forum in Sheffield centre. In 1997 however, we merged them both into our current premises at Ecclesall Road.

Jenny no longer works in the shop as it didn't leave her any time to make jewellery, but she is still involved in running the workshops.

The bead selection has grown over the years and continues to grow and develop. With so many beads and findings to keep track of, I also have Brenda, Laurie, Abby and Sheila who help keep things running smoothly.
